Covid Policy – Vaccine Pass

We are doing our best to navigate the new Covid19 Protection Framework traffic light system carefully.

We have been working towards an unstoppable summer, heck we sure need a break from all this stop start business!  So we are going the extra mile to keep everyone safe and ensure limited interruption of our awesome sailing cruises.

We have on offer a spacious outdoor setting, fresh air and lots of fun! We have further reduced our seating capacity to enable group seating arrangements. We take a lot of pride in the cleanliness of our boat, be assured that the boat and equipment is well cleaned between every cruise.

We will continue to work within the government guidelines, and are Qualmark Covid Clean Approved.

There are two scenarios that we can work within:

Vaccine Pass

Shared sailing tours: Due to the nature of our sailing cruises being a shared tour, and our cruises being from 2-6 hours in duration, we feel the best way to continue as safely as possible is to use the Vaccine Pass System with a shared group on our scheduled tours. We hope that this will put your mind at ease, and ensure that you love thy neighbour, cause we really want you to enjoy your cruise with us and the rest of the Barefoot sailors who are joining us on the day!  This means every person over 12 years old will be required to show their vaccine pass before boarding the boat. We’re really sorry if this doesn’t suit you, but we do have another option for you below.

No Vaccine Pass

Private Charters: If a private charter is booked for a group where all members of the group are known to each other, we can arrange the cruise to go ahead without using the vaccine pass. This is a good option for a family for example, who may not have had their young teenagers vaccinated yet, or if there is a member of the group not vaccinated. This is designed with families and friends in mind who want to ensure inclusivity of one or two members of the group. However, we would like to ensure that the majority of the group is vaccinated for our own safety. Please phone to discuss this with our crew to see if we can make your holiday plans go ahead with out a hitch!

Masks

Please bring a mask and be prepared to wear it at some points during the trip.

Staff are required to wear a mask, however passengers are not required to wear a mask when outdoors, but please do so when inside the cabins, so please ensure you keep one handy. We do our best to meet govt guidelines, as what is safe and reasonably practicable.  If you feel more comfortable wearing a mask for the duration of the trip please do so.

If you are feeling unwell

If you are showing any symptoms of Covid19, or are generally feeling unwell please do not join the trip on the day, we can postpone your booking to a more suitable date when you are feeling better. This is for the safety of all people on board, help us have an unstoppable summer!

Covid Cancellations:    If lockdown restricts travel & operation of the cruise at the time it is booked, you may re-schedule your booking, hold a credit or opt for a full refund of the ticket price.
